Grand Ledge Students Participate in Destination Imagination

Destination Imagination is an international program that encourages teams of learners to have fun, take risks, focus and frame challenges while incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the arts and service learning. 

Students in Grand Ledge, Michigan have been participating in Destination Imagination teams from individual schools for years.  In 2013, we transitioned into a single Grand Ledge entity - The Clever Comets - which pulls participants from different schools in the Grand Ledge community.  

Our participants learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process. Our teams have showcased their solutions at a regional, state and global tournaments.

Any student - in public school, private school, or home schooled - from the Grand Ledge community is welcome to participate!  The DI 'season' generally runs from October through April.  Students who commit to a team should plan on participating through the whole DI season - your team will be counting on you!
